{"id":35,"date":"2020-03-18T11:07:54","date_gmt":"2020-03-18T11:07:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exploreancientforest.com\/?p=35"},"modified":"2020-07-18T11:08:56","modified_gmt":"2020-07-18T11:08:56","slug":"double-chocolate-energy-bites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/exploreancientforest.com\/?p=35","title":{"rendered":"DOUBLE CHOCOLATE ENERGY BITES"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b7a935a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default elementor-section elementor-top-section\" data-id=\"1b7a935a\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-row\">\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-79f255f8 elementor-column elementor-col-33 elementor-top-column\" data-id=\"79f255f8\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n<div class=\"elementor-column-wrap  elementor-element-populated\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2db8d6c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2db8d6c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<p>Today on our KIDS MAKE! series, we are making this incredibly simple sweet treat with only five ingredients.\u00a0 These little no-bake bites are a staple in our freezer at our house.\u00a0 My kids still prefer these\u00a0<em><strong>\u00a0THE BEST<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<em><strong>Energy Bites<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>made with M&amp;M\u2019s but almost any little chocolate peanut bite will be accepted in the house.<\/p>\n<p>A little something is always necessary after a meal, right?\u00a0 And these little bites do the trick.\u00a0 Make note I only 1\/4 cup of agave nectar.\u00a0 You are welcome to use a different sweetener like honey, but I have found that I only have to use a 1\/4 cup of agave versus 1\/2 cup of honey in order to get the same consistency of the bites.\u00a0 Yes, by using agave nectar I only have to use HALF as much!\u00a0 And by keeping those chocolate chips mini only a small amount (1\/4 cup) is needed.<\/p>\n<p>Some recipes that claim they are \u201chealthy\u201d have double the amount of chocolate chips and sweetener I have in my recipes.\u00a0 Taste tested by a number of family critics, we have found those large amounts of sweetness unnecessary.<\/p>\n<p>Quick oats provide a wonderful source of fiber and by using quick oats versus rolled oats, the texture may be more accepted by little ones, but either is totally fine.
