Vitamin C boosts your immune system and improves the absorption of other nutrients such as iron.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0 Contains 35 percent of your daily B-6 requirement. The body uses vitamin B-6 to grow new cells.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"120\"><strong>Walnuts<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"467\">\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0One-ounce contains 2 grams of fiber\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Are one of the highest sources of plant-based, heart-healthy, omega-3 fatty acids. \u00a0Omega-3 fatty acids are an essential nutrient that may help reduce the risk of developing heart disease, arthritis and cancer.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"120\"><strong>Flaxseed<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"467\">\n<ul>\n<li>High in omega-3 essential fatty acids, \u201cgood\u201d fats that have been shown to have\u00a0heart-healthy effects.<\/li>\n<li>Contain lignans that may help protect against\u00a0cancer\u00a0by blocking enzymes that are involved in with the growth and spread of tumor cells. Flaxseed contains 75 to 800 times more lignans than other plant foods.<\/li>\n<li>Contains both the soluble and insoluble types of fiber.
